• Role and Responsibility: –
➤ Review and analyze field investigation data (e.g., borehole logs, Standard penetration test results).
➤ Interpret laboratory test results (e.g., grain size analysis, Atterberg limits, shear strength tests, permeability, swelling pressure, consolidation).
➤ Correlate soil and rock behavior to engineering design parameters.
➤ Write geotechnical investigation reports, including Site description, Ground conditions, Groundwater conditions, Laboratory test summaries, Engineering analysis, Recommendations (e.g., foundation types, bearing capacity, settlement analysis, slope stability) 7 rock strength also.
➤ Ensure reports meet local codes and industry standards.
➤ Provide design parameters for Shallow/deep foundations (e.g., pad, raft, pile), Earthworks and grading, Excavation a retaining structures, Ground improvement techniques, Suggest mitigation measures for geohazards (e.g., landslides, liquefaction).
➤ Work closely with geologists, field engineers, lab technicians, and design engineers.
➤ Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to site engineers, contractors, and clients.
➤ Support project managers in technical discussions.
➤ Review the quality and accuracy of geotechnical data and ensure consistency in reporting.
